A community paint day will be hosted by Long Beach Councilman Robert Garcia, the Department of Parks and Recreation and the Long Beach Redevelopment Agency on Saturday, January 29, 2011, to put the finishing touches on the "Peacemaker's Mural". A short program will commence at 10:00am.
The mural, created by local artist Jose Loza, will cover more than 3,000 square feet on the east and south walls of the city's newest park located at 14 St. and Magnolia Ave. in Long Beach.
