Port of Long Beach Executive Director J. Christopher Lytle, who assumed the post this year, is set to deliver the annual “State of the Port” address on Thursday, January 19.
Lytle, the Port's former deputy executive director and chief operations officer, was appointed to the top post by the Board of Harbor Commissioners late last year. The maritime industry veteran takes the helm at the nation's second busiest seaport as it prepares to invest more than $4 billion over the next decade on capital improvement projects, creating thousands of jobs for the region.
The “State of the Port” will take place January 19 at the Long Beach Convention Center, Grand Ballroom from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m.
