Taste of Downtown

Local Restaurants, Musicians and Artists Featured on First Street between Elm and Linden. On April 25 and 26, 2012, from 6 to 9 p.m. Taste of Downtown returns to the East Village with two evenings of delicious food that will tantalize taste buds, accompanied by festive live music and art displays. Produced by the Downtown Long Beach Associates (DLBA), Taste of Downtown will take place on First Street between Linden and Elm avenues, and will feature delicious cuisine from more than a dozen Downtown Long Beach restaurants in a unique outdoor setting. Participants at this year’s East Village event include: Auld Dubliner, Beachwood BBQ, Buono’s Authentic Pizzeria, Coldstone Creamery, Crème De La Crepe, District Wine, Fresh Kabobs, Gladstone’s, Kabob Curry, Reef Restaurant, SIP at the Renaissance, Utopia, Wine Down Lounge and more. Attendees will also enjoy art displays and see live wire art demonstrations by Jeremy West of Primal Flowers, and can take part in all-ages art classes taught by Brushstrokes and Beverages. Tickets can be purchased in advance at www.downtownlongbeach.org or at the event for $1 each (or 12 for $10 and 24 for $20). Each restaurant will redeem tickets in exchange for a serving of their signature dish(es). Those who bike to the event will enjoy complementary bike valet (located at First and Elm) provided by the East Village Association.
