For ages 1-3 years. Storytimes for babies and toddlers include engaging stories and a variety of other activities such as flannel board stories, songs, finger plays, action rhymes, puppets, and educational toys, as well as the opportunity for children to interact with others their age. During storytimes, children see the direction of print on a page, learn to recognize letters by sight and sound, expand their own ability to tell a story, and learn to love books. These experiences lay the foundation for reading when they are older.
