Bring the family and take part in learning about 49 California marine reserves and marine conservation areas that make up the state's new networks of underwater parks within California's Marine Protected Areas (MPAs). California's south coast ocean waters house these areas in 350 square miles stretching from Point Conception to the California-Mexican border.
Visitors and guests can learn about California's Marine Life Protection Act and the specially protected areas in Southern California it addresses. Presentations will take place at 11:00am and 1:00pm inside the Aquarium's Honda Theater. Exhibit habitats modeled after MPAs will be displayed, as well as prize-winning photos taken above and underwater at MPAs.
General admission costs are $24.59 for adults (12 years and older),$21.95 for seniors (62 years and older), $12.95 for children (3-11 years) and free for children under 3 years old and Aquarium members.
