Fire Engulfs Second Floor of Long Beach Motel
The cause of a large fire that damaged a motel on Pacific Avenue is under investigation.

A large fire damaged an upper-floor unit at a two- story motel in Long Beach today.
A woman who had been in the unit fled from the fire scene, said Brian Fisk of the Long Beach Fire Department.
Firefighters were dispatched at 6:19 a.m. to the Ruby Motel, 1896 Pacific Ave. They had the fire out at 6:27 a.m., Fisk said.

No injuries were reported, and the cause of the fire was under investigation.
