Have You Seen Him? Long Beach Police Searching for Attempted Murder Suspect

Police in Long Beach on Thursday sought the public’s help in locating a 46-year-old attempted murder suspect.
Norval Lamount Hartley of Long Beach is suspected of shooting a woman about 12:40 a.m. Dec. 27 in the area of Willow Street and Maine Avenue.
Officers responding to a shots fired call found the victim suffering from a gunshot wound to her upper body. She remains hospitalized in stable condition, police said.

“The investigation revealed the victim left a local business and was walking to her car when she was struck by gunfire. The victim was not the intended victim of the shooting,” according to a police statement.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office on Wednesday filed attempted murder charges against Hartley, who has an extensive history of violent crime and served time in state prison, police said.

Hartley, who is now the subject of an arrest warrant, is black, bald, 5 feet 11 inches tall and 180 pounds, with brown eyes.
