Hurricane Norbert Expected to Bring High Water Levels to Long Beach
Sandbags will be made available to the public starting Friday.

High water levels associated with Hurricane Norbert are expected to impact southeast Long Beach this weekend, fire officials warned today.
Sand berms are being fortified as crews prepare for the expected storm surge between Friday and Monday, according to the Long Beach Fire Department.
Bins of sand and empty bags will be available beginning Friday at 9 a.m. at Ocean Boulevard and 72nd Place and at Ocean Boulevard and Claremont Avenue.

Residents are limited to 10 bags of sand apiece and must bring their own shovels.
