Long Beach Man Accused of Breaking into Home and Raping 88-Year-Old Woman

A Long Beach man has been arrested for allegedly breaking into a woman's home and raping her.

A man who allegedly broke into a Harbor City home and sexually assaulted an 88-year-old woman was charged today with multiple felonies.

Emmanuel Stanley Reales, 40, of Long Beach, is accused of breaking into the home Saturday morning and attacking the woman, who ultimately managed to break free and run to a neighbor’s house to call police.

Reales was arrested two days later based on forensic evidence, according to police.

He was charged with forcible rape, forcible oral copulation and first- degree residential burglary, according to the District Attorney’s Office. Prosecutors said he has prior convictions for assault with a deadly weapon in 2001 and receiving stolen property in 2007.

He faces 112 years to life in prison if convicted, prosecutors said.

Reales is scheduled to be arraigned this afternoon in Long Beach.
