Long Beach Public Library Foundation Presents LB Confidential: A Night of Noir
Bestselling authors Simon Wood, J.A. Jance, Edward Marston, Eoin Colfer and Jeffery Deaver will be the highlight of this first-time event.

The Long Beach Public Library Foundation announces a special event on Nov. 11 in coordination with the upcoming Bouchercon 2014: “Murder at the Beach,” an international mystery writers’ conference coming to the Long Beach Convention Center Nov. 13 – 16.

A cocktail reception and panel discussion with five international bestselling authors: Simon Wood, J.A. Jance, Edward Marston, Eoin Colfer, and Jeffery Deaver will be the highlight of this unique, first-time public event. The Library Foundation has been chosen as the recipient charity for the proceeds of Bouchercon 2014. Each year the conference is held in a different city, and in 2014 it will be held in Long Beach for the first time. Bouchercon is an annual world mystery conference where readers, writers, publishers, editors, agents, booksellers and other lovers of the crime fiction genre gather for a long weekend of education, entertainment and fun. The first Bouchercon took place in 1970 in Santa Monica. In past years, Bouchercon has been held in Chicago, Anchorage, Baltimore, Indianapolis, San Francisco, St. Louis and nearly 40 other cities, attracting approximately 3,000 attendees a year.
