Long Beach Votes!

The League of Women Voters has been active in the Long Beach area since 1924.  We serve Seal Beach, Signal Hill, Lakewood, Lynwood and South Gate. We are nonpartisan political organization that encourages informed and active participation in government.  We work to increase understanding of major public policy issues, and to influence public policy through education and advocacy. We never endorse any political candidate or any political party.

Through national programs, state and community-based volunteer activities, the League uses public education, advocacy, grassroots organizing and candidate forums to engage, support and protect voters.

Please make a point of voting in the Long Beach elections on April 8.  A great resource you can use for unbiased election information regarding the upcoming elections is SmartVoter.org. The City of Long Beach's election home page is also packed with great information about how to register, ways to register, and where to vote.
