Long Beach Woman, Son Killed in Utah Crash
The woman and the boy who died in the Dec. 23 crash near Green River was ID'd as 23-year-old Maria Gonzalez and Victor Perez.

A 25-year-old man was reported to be hospitalized in Colorado on Tuesday, a week after the SUV he was driving rolled over on Interstate 70 in Utah, killing a Long Beach woman and her 7-year-old son.
Six other passengers -- a 30-year-old woman and five children ages 1 to 8, also from Long Beach -- were recovering from less serious injuries they suffered in the rollover crash, the Long Beach Press-Telegram report.
The Utah Highway Patrol identified the woman and the boy who died in the Dec. 23 accident on Interstate 70 near Green River as 23-year-old Maria Gonzalez and Victor Perez.

The SUV was eastbound when it allegedly drifted off the left side of the road and the driver over-corrected, careening down an embankment. Seven of the vehicle’s nine occupants were ejected, the Press-Telegram reported.
The 25-year-old male driver remains in critical condition at St. Mary’s Hospital in Grand Junction, Colorado.

The accident remains under investigation, but state troopers believe many of those ejected were not wearing seatbelts.
