Los Alamitos Man Gunned Down in Long Beach
A 47-year-old resident of Los Alamitos was shot to death by an unknown assailant in Long Beach.

A man was shot dead near an alley in Long Beach, police said today.
Lawrence Lee Casados, 47, of Los Alamitos, was socializing in an alleyway in the 2700 block of East South Street when a suspect walked up to him and fired upon him, according to a crime report from the Long Beach Police Department.

Officers were dispatched at 10:53 p.m. Saturday, on reports that a person had been shot.
They found Casados on the street suffering from a single gunshot wound. Arriving paramedics pronounced him dead, according to the crime report.

There was no suspect information.
