Make Your College Basketball Tourney Picks for One Billion Dollars
What would you do with one billion dollars? Wouldn't that make nice dinner conversation!
Yahoo! Sports is holding a College Basketball Pick'em contest which could win some lucky gal or guy One Billion Dollars. But be quick, it's just one more day before the bracket closes on March 20th at 1AM.
Why One Billion Dollars? Because they can!
My first reaction was... How can they do that?
My second reaction was... "I don't know anything about college basketball, but I want to win a billion dollars!"
I learned of the tourney a week or so ago, and am just getting back to wondering how they can make such an offer... and dreaming of winning a billion dollars. So today, I registered to pick the College Basketball winners of 2014.
So I came to understand the answer to the question: "How can they do that?" It's called insurance. Berkshire Hathaway has insured the event. It must mean the chances of picking a perfect bracket are nigh on impossible. Sort of like winning the lottery.
But hey, someone just won that, didn't they?
