Ohio Suspect Arrested in Long Beach Man's Murder

Police in Cleveland, OH arrested a man for his alleged connection to the death of 60-year-old in Long Beach.

Police in Cleveland, OH have arrested an alleged suspect in relation to the death of a 60-year-old man in Long Beach, which occurred  in February, reports Cleveland’s 19 Action News.

According to 19 Action News, Mark Thurwachter was arrested in downtown Cleveland while on a bus. Cleveland’s Regional Transit Police said that “he was [initially] busted trying to ride for free,” according to 19 Action News. Police said they believe that Thurwachter was wanted because he “killed one of his Long Beach neighbors,” reported 19 Action News.

In early February, a 60-year-old man was shot and killed in North Long Beach in the neighborhood south of Del Amo Boulevard. of Long Beach was shot in the 'torso, according to a Long Beach Police Department news release. Officials have not yet confirmed if Thurwachter’s arrest is related to the North Long Beach shooting of Williams.
