Man Beaten with Tire Iron in Gas Station Attack
Seal Beach police are asking for help finding an assault suspect in a seemingly random beating.
Police today released surveillance video in hopes of tracking down a man who attacked a Seal Beach gas station customer without provocation.
Armed with a tire iron, the suspect struck a customer from behind as he was refueling his vehicle just after 10 p.m. Sunday at a Mobil station at 12240 Seal Beach Blvd., Sgt. Phil Gonshak said.
The victim, a 26-year-old Cypress man, was treated at a hospital for a large cut to his head, Gonshak said.
