The victim was with another man in his 30s in the 2100 block of Olive Avenue at 2:53 p.m. Sunday when they were approached by a Volkswagen Beetle with an unknown number of passengers, Long Beach police Sgt. David Marander said. ``An occupant of the suspect vehicle fired a gun at the victims and struck one of the victims in the upper leg area,'' Marander said. The victim was hospitalized with a non-life threatening wound. ``Investigators believe this could possibly be a gang-related incident,'' he said.
