5 Injured in Downtown Metro Line Train Crash
The train and car collided at First Street and Pine Avenue.

A Metro Blue Line train collided with a vehicle in Long Beach today, injuring five people on the train, authorities said.
The crash occurred about 12:20 p.m. near Third Street and Long Beach Boulevard, said Paul Gonzales of Metro.
The victims received hospital treatment for minor injuries, Gonzales said. The driver of the vehicle that collided with the train apparently was not hurt.

The circumstances of the crash were under investigation. Delays of up to 20 minutes were reported while crews worked to clear the scene.
