Monday Wave Check

The coast is extremely quiet.

Waking up with the waves on Monday, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your surf report.  Well, the coast is looking very quiet out there.  So, it's looking like a good day to get out an SUP.

Overall, we're seeing only some very minimal energy in the water.  It's pretty clean and glassy, with a very small combination of residual northwest swell and a tad of southwesterly energy.

That recipe is offering some really weak little lines, with maybe a few that'll get you going on a log.  Most breaks in the Seal Beach area are seeing ankle high waves, with not much more than that.

At 5:40 this morning the tide climbed way up to a 5.5 high which will have some breaks pretty full or even shut down early on.  The tide then drains out to a negative 0.6 low at 1:07 this afternoon.

If you insist on getting wet...then throw on at least a 3/2 full-suit and maybe the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 58 degrees.  Good luck out there!!
