Photo Gallery: Lou Reed In Long Beach
Fingerprints Music hosted Rock 'N' Roll Hall of Fame legend, who signed CD copies of his collaboration with Metallica.
Fingerprints Music of Long Beach hosted legendary rock n' roll animal Lou Reed at their store Friday afternoon, and drew a large crowd of fans. The founding member of the Velvet Underground is perhaps best known for his solo recording of "Take a Walk on the Wild Side."
Reed collaborated with Metallica on a 10-song CD called Lulu. Reed spent most of the two hours at Fingerprints signing autographs for a long line of fans. He finished with a 15-minute reading of lyrics from Lulu.
Reed is the latest major recording artist to visit Fingerprints, following the Foo Fighters and Brian Wilson since the store moved from Second Street to its new and larger store on Fourth Street last year.
