The sighting of a 10-foot shark has prompted lifeguards to close the waters off the Sunset Beach section of Huntington Beach, according to the Huntington Beach Fire Department.
The shark was spotted about 3:20 p.m. near 23rd Street. The closure is expected to last until Friday, a department supervisor says.
