Update: Teen Killed, Another Arrested in 710 Freeway Crash
Two Los Angeles teens have now been named in connection with a fatal collision in Long Beach early Monday.

A 19-year-old passenger who was killed in downtown Long Beach 710 Freeway crash was identified early Tuesday as Francisco Gutierrez of Los Angeles, said Lt. Joe Bale of the Los Angeles County coroner's office.
The crash occurred at 12:45 a.m. Monday and was still being investigated as the lanes were finally reopened at 7:15 a.m., according to a Long Beach Police Department statement.
A gray 1996 Acura in the number one lane of 710 southbound traffic when it struck the east curb under the 6th Street overpass, causing the driver, identified Tuesday as 18-year-old Elena Flores, to veer west across the freeway, police said.

The car's passenger side struck a sign and a palm tree, police said. A witness commented on Patch (below) with further description of the crash site. The passenger was declared dead at the scene by Long Beach Fire Department paramedics.
Flores, driving an Acura, was treated for minor injuries at a nearby hospital and subsequently arrested, booked on charges of felony impaired driving and vehicular manslaughter.

She is currently being held at the Long Beach City Jail on $100,000 bail, according to police.
