Three Injured in Two-Alarm Apartment Fire
Three people were hurt in a blaze at a multi-unit apartment building in Long Beach.

Three people were injured in a two-alarm fire at a multi-unit apartment building in Long Beach today.
The fire was reported at 5:40 p.m. in the 2000 block of Chestnut Avenue, said Brian Fisk of the Long Beach Fire Department.
First-arriving units saw smoke coming from a second-floor apartment and immediately called for additional manpower and resources, Fisk said.

The fire was knocked down in 11 minutes, he said.
The three patients were being tended to at the scene and it was not immediately clear if any of them would need to be taken to a hospital, Fisk said.
