Thursday Surf Report

More minimal energy.

Good Thursday morning surfers, I'm Surf Junkie Jeff with your surf report.  Well, it seems like mother nature just doesn't want to provide much surf to this neck of the woods.  Yep, we're seeing another day of pretty minimal energy!

The conditions in Seal Beach are starting off fairly clean, but some spots are seeing some texture on the surface.  There's a combination of supposedly building west-northwest swell and a touch of southwesterly energy in the water.

That recipe is offering some pretty weak lines, with a few that'll get you going on a log!  Most spots are hanging around ankle high, with the standout spots pulling the occasional plus set.  You're best bet is probably getting out the SUP and going for a paddle.

At 9:06 this morning the tide drops to a 1.5 low which will have many spots lacking water mid-morning.  The tide then pushes back up just a tad to a 2.3 low at 3:15 this afternoon.

If you're going to get in the water, break out at least a 3/2 full and possibly the booties, with the water temperature averaging between 56 and 57 degrees.  See ya in the water!
