Two Escape Long Beach House Fire
A fire engulfed the rear bedroom of a Long Beach home, but the two residents managed to escape unharmed.
A fire damaged a house in Long Beach today, but no one was hurt.
Firefighters sent to the 4500 block of Atlantic Avenue at 11:57 a.m. extinguished the flames in 10 minutes, said Jake Heflin of the Long Beach Fire Department.
The cause of the fire was not immediately known. A damage estimate was being made.

Arriving firefighters found a rear bedroom well-involved in flames and smoke throughout the single-family house, Heflin said.
Two residents were home at the time of the fire and got out safely.
