Six people were aboard the fishing vessel Midnight Hour out of Long Beach and were rescued by another fishing boat. "The commercial squid boat San Pedro Pride was first on scene to rescue the crew members on board," said Trent Kelly from the USGG Pubilc Affairs Detachment Los Angeles.

"The families of the Midnight Hour have been in this fishing business for years and were hauling market squid for the San Pedro markets," said Don Ashley from Pierpoint Landing in Long Beach. "I'm just relieved that no one was hurt."
