"The Center Band" Jam ~ Fridays

Join us for this new weekly event at the Highlands Park Senior & Community Center!
Musicians will gather in the Auditorium 12:30-3pm.

A bit about your host, Helen:
Our center is blessed to have a new volunteer, Helen Souranoff, who will head up this fun new program at our center. You may have seen her incredible work in the local theaters or performing as a vocalist in a variety of local bands. Helen's interest in music began at an early age, where she would mimic the songs she heard at home, as well as sing in church. Her musical abilities expanded into drumming on pillows in her bedroom using pencils, later playing violin and some piano as a child.

Fast forward to adulthood, where she has performed with multiple Bay Area bands, studio work for different artists, and performing at KCSM’s Jazz on the Hill Primarily a vocalist, she is proficient in percussion and dabbles with instruments ranging from Singing Bowls to piano, bass, guitar and dulcimer.

We look forward to having a Center Band and to hearing what you all create together!
