2 Alarm Fire Devastates Solano County Strip Mall
The Vallejo and Benicia Fire departments responded to the blaze.
SOLANO COUNTY, CA -- Vallejo firefighters managed to control a two-alarm fire that broke out at a Cricket Wireless phone store a strip mall at 2045 Springs Road in Vallejo on the morning of Dec. 13.
The fire was reported at 11:10 a.m. The Benicia Fire Department also responded to the blaze, Vallejo Fire Department spokesman Kevin Brown said.
The flames were in the attic of the structure that's shared by the Hummingbird Bakery, a Sprint phone store and a Subway sandwich shop, Brown said.

Firefighters pulled down the ceiling of the Cricket store to fight the blaze and the store is expected to be closed for several days, Brown said.
The cause of the blaze is under investigation.
