2 Children In Stroller Struck, Critically Injured In Vallejo Hit-And-Run: Police
BREAKING: A driver allegedly fled the scene of the collision Sunday near Gateway Plaza, according to police.

SOLANO COUNTY, CA — Vallejo police say two young children, ages 2 and 3, are hospitalized in critical condition after they were struck by an alleged hit-and-run driver Sunday near Gateway Plaza. At 5:47 p.m., officers responded to Turner Parkway to find that a Vallejo woman had been pushing her 2-year-old son and 3-year-old daughter in a stroller northbound across Turner Parkway, east of Foothill Drive, when a car traveling westbound on Turner struck the children but did not stop, Vallejo police Lt. Michael Nichelini said in a news release.
The young boy and girl were thrown "a considerable distance" and suffered major injuries, Nichelini said. The children, along with their mother who was not injured, were flown to a local hospital, he said.
The vehicle that struck the children was possibly a white Acura TL, according to police, who were still investigating the collision Monday.
