2 Dead, Another Injured In Solano County Shooting

Authorities responded shortly after midnight to the tragic incident in an unincorporated area of Vallejo, sheriff's officials said.

VALLEJO, CA — A shooting early Tuesday in Vallejo left two people dead and another injured, the Solano County Sheriff's Office said. Deputies responded shortly after midnight to the tragic incident that unfolded in a home in the 1000 block of Hargus Avenue, near Benicia Road and Maple Avenue in an unincorporated part of Vallejo.

Two men were found suffering from gunshot wounds, and later died from their injuries, according to Solano County sheriff's Deputy Cully Pratt.

The woman was taken to a hospital with injuries not considered life-threatening, Pratt said.

In a 6 a.m. statement posted to social media, sheriff's officials asked community members to avoid the area where the shootings took place because detectives and deputies were still investigating and processing the crime scene.

Vallejo police were also on scene assisting in the investigation, which was expected to continue throughout the morning.

"Currently there does not seem to be any outstanding gunmen or threats to the public in this ongoing investigation," sheriff's officials said.
