3 Burglaries Take Place In Vallejo In Under A Day, Arrests Made
Vallejo police made arrests in three burglaries in an 18-hour period, including two targeting equipment at construction sites.
VALLEJO, CA — Vallejo police made arrests in three burglaries in an 18-hour period, including two targeting equipment at construction sites.
One of the suspects had four prior felony convictions for burglary, police said Friday on social media.
Officers responded about 12:30 a.m. on April 11 to a construction yard near 15th Street and Azuar Avenue on Mare Island. A security guard reported that two people had burglarized some storage containers and fled in a truck with construction equipment. Officers located the vehicle near Mountain View Avenue and the suspects fled on foot. One, a man from Woodland, was found hiding in a residential backyard. Construction equipment, including jackhammers and a generator, was recovered.

About 4:30 p.m. that day, officers were dispatched to a burglary at a building in the 200 block of Georgia Street near the Vallejo Ferry Terminal. A suspect was found hiding inside the building and arrested. A records check revealed the individual had four prior felony convictions for burglary.
About 12 p.m. April 12, officers responded to another burglary in progress at a construction site in the 100 block of Hospital Drive near Sutter Medical Plaza Vallejo. One suspect was detained while another fled on foot.

Officers recovered more than $10,000 worth of stolen tools in the area, police said. The investigations remain active and officers are working to identify and locate the outstanding suspects.
