VALLEJO, CA — Five people, including three juveniles, were arrested last week after leading Vallejo officers on a short vehicle pursuit that ended in a foot chase and the recovery of three loaded firearms, police said.

At about 11:18 p.m. on Wednesday, officers attempted to stop a black Toyota Camry near Sacramento and Alabama streets because of its tinted front windows, according to the Vallejo Police Department. The driver allegedly did not yield, prompting a pursuit.

The chase ended in the 200 block of Wilson Avenue when the Camry reached a dead end. Five people jumped out of the car and ran in different directions, police said.

Officers set up a perimeter and searched the area. All five suspects were found and detained without injury. Police said some were hiding under parked vehicles, inside a full dumpster and in nearby yards.

Investigators later determined that three of the suspects were juveniles. One of them lives in Walnut Creek and another in Corte Madera, police said.

During the investigation, officers recovered three loaded firearms. One gun was found in a bag discarded during the foot pursuit, another was located along the suspects' path of flight near the vehicle, and a third was recovered from a purse carried by one of the fleeing occupants. Police alleged none of the firearms were confirmed to be lawfully possessed by those involved.

The Camry was not reported stolen and was towed from the scene. The firearms were booked into evidence.

Two of the juveniles were taken to the Solano County Juvenile Detention Facility. A third juvenile was cited and released to a parent. The two adult suspects were booked into the Solano County Jail, according to police.
