Advisory: Flaring From Valero Benicia Refinery Possible Thursday
Breaking: The city advised that the oil refinery planned to conduct a unit shutdown Thursday.
BENICIA, CA -- The city of Benicia announced on Facebook late this Thursday morning that it has been notified of a controlled unit shutdown at the Valero Benicia oil refinery that may cause periodic flaring over the next few hours.
There is no emergency associated with the flaring, but city officials said they want the community to be aware of the possibility of flaring, according to the Facebook post around 11:45 a.m.
