VALLEJO, CA — Ten people were arrested during a law enforcement operation in Vallejo targeting solicitation of sex and human trafficking last week, Vallejo police said on Sunday. The operation was part of an ongoing enforcement campaign by the Vallejo Police Department called Operation SAFE Vallejo, which stands for Stopping Abuse Fueled Exploitation.
One arrest was also made after a revolver without a serial number was allegedly found in a Cadillac Escalade that was searched by police.
The enforcement operation on Thursday was focused on the area around Marin Street and Sonoma Boulevard, which the Vallejo Police Department said in a statement is known for commercial sex activity.
All vehicles allegedly used during solicitation attempts were towed. Suspects ranged in age from 21 to 95 years old and were residents of Vallejo, Rosemead, Manteca, Sacramento, Napa, and Fairfield, according to the Vallejo Police Department. All 10 suspects were booked into Solano County Jail.
