VALLEJO, CA — A decommissioned riverboat in Vallejo caught fire late Friday night, according to the Vallejo Fire Department.
The fire was burning in the boat's third story. It was reported just before midnight Saturday morning and was extinguished in about an hour.
The "Grand Romance" is a three-story riverboat that was beached in Vallejo and caught fire in 2023, according to the Fire Department.
It was identified in a recent city consultant's report as a potential candidate for federal funding to remove abandoned and derelict vessels as the city seeks to revitalize its waterfront.
No injuries were reported.
