VALLEJO, CA — Fire crews rescued a man trapped underneath a capsized boat near Vallejo on Tuesday, according to the Vallejo Fire Department.
On Tuesday morning, the man became trapped under the overturned boat in the Mare Island Strait. Firefighters launched a 13-foot inflatable rescue boat from the nearby marina to search for the man. They quickly located him and brought him to safety.
The department didn't release any other information about the rescue but said it was the third deployment of a inflatable rescue boat that was recently brought back into use.
