Arrest Made In Marin City Domestic Violence; No Arrests For Double Homicide

The Sunday case is still under investigation.

MARIN COUNTY, Ca - A 42-year-old man was arrested on suspicion of a domestic violence incident in Marin City on Sunday and Marin County sheriff’s deputies are still investigating the deaths of two men who responded to the incident.

Sheriff’s deputies on Sunday arrested the domestic violence suspect, Marin City resident Lamarco Mitchell, but did not arrest him in connection with the homicides of Carl Lee Breaux, 60, and Jacari Lloyd Devon Cook, 29.

Investigators have not determined who killed Breaux and Cook, two Marin City residents who responded around 10 a.m. Sunday to the domestic violence incident at 99 Cole Drive against a woman who was related to Breaux, sheriff’s Lt. Jamie Scardina said.

A fight was reported and initially involved bats or sticks but shots were eventually fired, sheriff’s Lt. Doug Pittman said. The two homicide victims are related, but Scardina did not say how they are related. Autopsies on Breaux and Cook are scheduled for today.

Mitchell was booked into Marin County Jail on suspicion of misdemeanor battery on a cohabitant or former spouse and a felony offense of violating his post-release supervision and was scheduled to be arraigned Tuesday morning, according to the Marin County Jail booking log.
