Arts Benicia Summer Challenge: Donate Today!

A letter from Arts Benicia's Executive Director, Larnie Fox, to the Benicia Community:

This summer, Ruszel Woodworks, via Jack Ruszel, and I have each donated $1,000 to Arts Benicia to help us get through a financially difficult season.

Now, we challenge YOU, our community, to match those $2,000 by August 26th. Donate today at ArtsBenicia.org!

Arts Benicia would not be what we are today without the artists, art lovers, families, and community members that bring our organization to life. We always push ourselves to offer engaging, relevant exhibitions and programs for our community, and this summer is no exception. Coming off our recent success in the environmentally-conscious exhibition Vessels, we are now hosting our fourth Arts Benicia Artist in Residence Program, featuring internationally known machine artist Kal Spelletich. This fall, we will be bringing a new series of afterschool art and environment classes led by Emily Thompson to Benicia schools, with the goal of sharing the serious fun of art and artmaking with Benicia's youth.

Arts Benicia's mission and passion is to "stimulate, educate, and nurture" our community through the arts. Many of you have experienced this first hand, and you can see it encapsulated in this video , produced by our summer interns Caleb Donato and Jazzica Donida. If you understand the importance of this work, we hope that you will accept our challenge and donate today. Contributions at any level are appreciated, because any amount will help us meet our match. Just go to ArtsBenicia.org, and click on the "donate" button at the bottom of the page. Thank you for your continued support.
