Benicia Arsenal U9 Boys take Championship at 2011 Diablo FC Kick or Treat Classic

This weekend before Halloween proved scary for opponents of the Benicia Arsenal FC 2003 U9 Boys team that took the Championship at the 13th Annual Gold/Silver 2011 Diablo FC Kick or Treat Soccer Classic Tournament in Pleasant Hill. 
On Saturday Arsenal got off to a quick start, winning both their games. In the first game Benicia defeated Lamorinda FC 02 by a score of 6-2. Great midfield play combined with solid passing were the keys to victory. Then, in the second game Benicia won easily 6-1 vs. Livermore Fusion SC Black. 
Sunday the Benicia boys needed only a tie to clinch a place in the championship match. They got exactly what they needed and tied the Walnut Creek Vipers 3-3. In the championship game, Arsenal met the Alameda Islanders. After two early scores Benicia pulled away, winning the championship game by a score of 4-0.
