Benicia Bank Robber Sought By Police

The bank robbery happened at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, according to Benicia police.

BENICIA, CA — A Benicia bank was robbed Tuesday by a man armed with what appeared to be a black semi-automatic handgun, police said. The robbery happened at about 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at Chase Bank, 802 Southampton Road, according to Benicia police.

The suspect fled the area with an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.

The suspect was described as a black man in his late 20s or early 30s, between 5 feet 9 and 5 feet 10 inches tall, with tattoos on his arms and the back of his hands, as well as a tattoo of a tear drop under his left eye.

Police asked anyone with information about the robbery or accused robber to call 707-745-3411.
