Benicia - Citywide Street Resurfacing Project Schedule Updated

Benicia, CA (July 30, 2020) — The City of Benicia Public Works Department announces an updated schedule for the 2019-20 Citywide Street Resurfacing Project, which started on July 13. The project will rehabilitate areas of 11 city streets mostly on the east side and industrial area of Benicia and on Lake Herman Road, for a total of approximately six lane-miles.

The remaining work is scheduled for the following dates (subject to change) and locations:

Thursday, July 30:

East H Street (East 3rd Street to East 5th Street)

East I Street (East 2nd Street to East 3rd Street)

Industrial Way (Bayshore Road to 600 feet west of Teal Drive)

Friday, July 31:

East H Street (East 2nd Street to East 3rd Street)

Industrial Way (Bayshore Road to 600 feet west of Teal Drive)

Panorama Drive (Rose Drive to Southampton Road)

Monday, August 3:

East 2nd Street (East D Street to East F Street)

Panorama Drive (Baker Street to Allen Way)

Tuesday, August 4: Hastings Drive (Solano Drive to Zinnia Court)

Panorama Drive (Baker Street to Southampton Road)

Park Road (Stone Road to East 2nd Street)

Date(s) to be determined:

Lake Herman Road (City limit to East 2nd Street)

The contractor, Graham Contractors, Inc., is scheduled to complete the work on the east side and industrial area by August 30. Work is scheduled between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. Effort will be made to minimize impacts to residents, businesses and the traveling public.

The work on Lake Herman Road will be a joint effort between the City of Benicia and Solano County, with the County including Benicia’s portion of Lake Herman Road with their paving project for cost savings.

The schedule for Lake Herman Road resurfacing has not yet been determined. Additional information on the project is available in the July 16, 2020 City of Benicia Press Release entitled, “Citywide Street Resurfacing Project Underway.”
