Benicia High School Band Students Participate in 59th Solano County Honor Band
Band culminates with a concert on Sunday, January 8,th

Forty-two students from Benicia High School were selected for the 59th Solano County High School Honor Band January 4th – 8th. The honor band was led by guest conductor, Dr. Patricia Cornett, Interim Director of Bands at Cal State Fullerton.
Rehearsing over a three day period, the band concluded with a concert on Sunday at the Vacaville Performing Arts Theater. Four works were performed. Solano County high schools participating included Armijo, Dixon, Rodriguez, Vacaville, Vanden, Will C. Wood, Fairfield, Vacaville Christian, Vallejo, and Benicia.
Of all the participating high schools, Benicia High School had the highest student representation in the 102 member honor band. Selection for participation in the band was by audition.
