Benicia Man Accused Of Raping Girl, 15, He Met As Church Youth Volunteer: Police

Breaking: Benicia police arrested the 21-year-old man on rape and other allegations.

BENICIA, CA -- A 21-year-old Benicia man has been arrested on suspicion of raping a 15-year-old girl he met while serving as a youth volunteer at a local church, police said. Brandon Jacobs, 21, was taken into custody Friday when he was attempting to meet up with the girl, according to Benicia police.

Jacobs was booked into Solano County jail on suspicion of raping a child younger than 16 years old, forcible penetration with a foreign object, oral copulation with a person under 18, and arranging a meeting with a minor for lewd purposes, according to police.

Jacobs' arrest was the result of an investigation that began when the victim's parent reported the alleged sexual encounter, police said.

Detectives located and arrested Jacobs without incident, police said.

Jail booking records show he was taken into custody at about 8 p.m. Friday in a parking lot at 2015 E. 3rd St.

Jacobs was being held on $103,300 bail and was due in court at 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, records showed.
