Benicia Officers Respond To Suspicious Person Report, Arrest Man

BENICIA, CA — A Vallejo man was arrested Sunday in Benicia when officers responded to a report of a person looking into cars, police officials said. An "alert community member" called the Benicia Police Department Sunday morning to report "a suspicious person looking into cars at the Cambridge Drive condominium complex," police officials said.

Officers located the same person a few blocks away and found him in possession of prescription medication without a legal prescription, according to Benicia PD.

The suspect, identified by Benicia police as 31-year-old Andy Kay of Vallejo, was arrested and taken to the police department, where he was cited for the alleged drug violation then released, police said.
