How will the new bat rules affect the game? There will probably be a few more infield hits because a ball that isn't hit well will take longer to get to the fielder.  But there will be fewer balls the are "too hot to handle" so fewer of the well-hit balls will get through the hole, so probably there will be fewer runs allowed in a game.
