Benicia Police Arrest Man With Bags Of Marijuana, Cash

Police were alerted by an automated license plate reader.

BENICIA, CA — Police in Benicia arrested a man Sunday after they said they found him with several large bags of marijuana and cash, the department posted on social media on Tuesday.

Officers were alerted around 4:50 p.m. by an automated license plate reader that a vehicle was wanted for evading law enforcement.

Police made contact on East 2nd Street with the driver, who police discovered had a felony warrant for evading law enforcement.

Inside the car, police said they found a large amount of cash and several large bags of marijuana.

Carlos Osvaldo Higuera Aldana, 20, was arrested on suspicion of possessing marijuana for sale and was booked into the Solano County jail, Benicia Police said.
