ATT announces completion of upgrades in Benicia.

AT&T has finished upgrades to its network in Benicia. Completion of a at the top of Essex Way will increase speed and mean better wireless service, according to AT&T officials.
Specifically, the new cell site provides improved coverage on Rose Drive from Hastings Drive to Panorama Drive, and on Hastings Drive from Cambridge to Rose Drive and the surrounding neighborhoods, as well as Jack London, Frank Skilman and Southampton parks.
“Whether Benicia customers are talking, texting, e-mailing, surfing the net, streaming music or video, using their favorite apps or conducting business, we want to make sure they have a good mobile broadband experience,” Terry Stenzel, AT&T vice president and general manager for Northern California and Northern Nevada, said in a press release.

“We’re investing in our network in Benicia because we’re committed to providing best-in-class wireless voice and data service to our customers,” Ken McNeely, AT&T’s California president, said in the same release. “AT&T has invested nearly $775 million in its San Francisco Bay Area wireless and wireline networks from 2008-2010, and we will continue investing and making network improvements.”
