BMS Student Selected for All-Northern Junior High Honor Band

The Northern California Band Association’s 19th Annual All-Northern Honor Bands were held last weekend from Jan. 16th-18th at the University of the Pacific in Stockton, California.

Nyah Santiago represented Benicia Middle School’s Viking Band, which is directed by Mr. Glenn Walp.

The group of 101 students representing 32 schools from all of the California counties north of the Tehachipi Mountains were selected by audition and performed five musical selections under the direction of Mr. Matt Mackey, an award winning director of bands at Franklin High School, Elk Grove, California.
