Body Found In Crashed Car Near Vallejo

One person was found dead in a crashed vehicle in unincorporated Vallejo this morning, a Solano County sheriff’s deputy said.

The sheriff’s office received a call shortly after 7 a.m. about multiple shots fired in the 300 block of Benicia Road near Sperry Avenue, Deputy Christine Castillo said.

Vallejo police who were in the area responded first, and deputies then found the person dead in the vehicle, Castillo said. The initial report said the shooting happened on Cypress Avenue, Castillo said.

More information about the incident is being withheld until the victim’s next of kin are notified of the death, Castillo said.
