Stuff my mom says and does.
My mom is very funny, she does't mean to be funny, and that makes her even funnier. Here are some of the things she says and does that make me smile.
I wanted to share with you, some stuff my mom says and does. She has been making me and my friends laugh pretty much all my life. It seems like she is not trying to be funny, that makes her even funnier. Here are some of the recent things she has said or done that have made me chuckle inside and smile:
1.) While I was watching a Deepak Choprah DVD, she kept walking in and out of the room and more than once she stopped and proclaimed; “My goodness, he is still talking? He must be getting tired!” I suspect that was her way of saying she wanted her TV back.
2.) I am cooking for mom this week and I wasn’t sure she’d enjoy my cooking. I have figured out a few things: if I give her a piece of chocolate in the morning, that gets her appetite triggered, which is amazing, she has never been a ‘breakfast person.’ If I want her to eat greens or a salad, I hand her the mayonnaise. To mom, any good vegetable is better with mayonnaise on it.

I made some raw brownies and I had a bit more cacao powder in them, and a little less sweetener than usual. With that, the initial taste in the mouth was a bitter one. She said, these are really good, they taste like umeboshi. Okay, so maybe, you don’t know what umeboshi is; it's a super bitter, tart, and salty pickled plum. Really, she loves my chocolate squares, and raw brownies. She says she likes them as they are not overly sweet, but comparing them to a pickled plum?
